Fern J. Hill offers a variety of services designed to show your paper to advantage.
Formatting:
My service composes the text of your MS Word file to conform to your university's requirements and the guidelines of the handbook or manual the institution prefers including APA, MLA, Turabian and others.
- The paper's structure will meet university guidelines.
- All margins will conform to publishing requirements.
- A Table of Contents is compiled.
- All headings and subheadings conform to hierarchical specifications.
- All pages are correctly paginated.
- Footnotes are verified to be on the correct page.
- All footnotes or endnotes and bibliographic entries are uniformly formatted.
- All block quotes are properly spaced.
- Tables are refined, restructured if necessary.
- Text is visually scanned for obvious spelling and standardization.
- The parts of the paper are put in correct sequence.
- Line and word spacing, alignment, fonts and font size.
- Extraneous spaces and carriage returns are deleted.
Editing:
I will proofread your paper and correct the following:
- Spelling
- Punctuation
- Usage and Grammar
- Homophones
- Footnotes
Tightening Your Writing Style:
Speaking is easier for some people than writing. If you feel less than confident with your writing, I can improve readability by editing for clarity without disrupting your content. Reading many different works while writing your paper can make the transitions between ideas, chapters, paragraphs and even sentences difficult. I am here to smooth that out for you.
Works Cited Compiled from Footnotes:
If you typed in all the pertinent footnote information as you compiled your paper with the intention of creating your bibliography or works cited list later, and you have run out of time, I can compile it for you.
Retyping from Hard Copy:
Sometimes personal computers are contaminated with a virus, worm, or some malfunction from old age, or a computer frying electrical surge. If you are left holding hard copy, I can retype your paper, and edit and format it as I go.
Verification of all Footnotes and Works Cited Entries:
Every foot or endnote must be cited at the end of your dissertation. Too, every work cited should be referenced as a foot or endnote. If you’ve run out of time to do this yourself, call on me.
General Information:
- I do not research and write student papers.
- I work with Microsoft Word and do all work in-house.
- I can work with single or multiple files, and return them to you in the manner you request; dividing a single file into several, or joining multiple files into one.
- I prefer at least a two-week turnaround, but may be able to fit you in on shorter notice depending on my workload at the time. There will be a rush fee involved.
- All work files are sent and received via the Internet or the USPS, so the distance you are from Fern J. Hill does not matter.
- For those who choose to exchange information through USPS, printing services can be arranged.
